Zimmerman and  Wiley,  otherwise known as Z & W Specialty Services, specialize in decorative and
wearable metal. In 2007, t-shirts,  illustrated greeting cards, and  book marks with genuine gem
stones and were added to the  show product line.

All of our jewelry is made from hand carved, sculptural elements or made directly in metal. These
elements are then molded to be reproduced in part or in whole in our own shop .  They are then hand
finished, stones set, or beads hand tied.  All of the stones that we use are genuine, as are the beads,
which are also hand picked and paired(making no two pair exactly alike).

We attend arts and crafts shows from Florida to Pennsylvania (thus far).  Please see our show
schedule. The show schedule is constantly updated.

Charles Wiley obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a specialty in jewelry making, from
the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He continued his education with a hands on
apprenticeship, also in Athens, Georgia.  His designs are more linear and masculine.  Charles hand
forms and welds all of the decorative iron work  in the home decor and yard art line. He designs and
builds  all of the displays, tables, and showcases for the show booth set up. He welcomes commissions
to design and build show or store displays for stores and other artists/crafters.

Suzan Zimmerman obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with a specialty in design and
illustration, from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky. She continued her
education with post graduate metalsmithing credits, updated the BFA with some computer graphics
from Sterling Ledet and computer science at Southern Polytechnic. Her specialty area is the
sculpting of original designs in wax models for lost wax casting. They usually start with a drawing or
illustration from which to work from. She also creates all of the graphics and  printed materials that
accompany the show displays and has created and maintains the web site.

From sketch to final illustration, to the finished piece, the line of jewelry, home decor, and gift items
made is painstakingly handcrafted and sets itself apart in attention to fine detail and quality.

What do the Travel Channel and Z & W have
in common?
The Travel Channel produces a series called "Cash and Treasure."  In this series,
a host, Kirsten Gum,  travels to a variety of locations in search of valuable treasures
that can be found in every day settings.

In December of 2007, the host and crew visited Georgia, where star rose quartz was
found. The stones were then cut by the hostess and Clyde Gilbert, a resident (stone
cutter and musician: for more information, a link for Emerald Rose is on the Links
page) of Gainesville, Georgia.  The stones and the crew then visited the Prospector's
Pouch in Kennesaw, Georgia. Here, Suzan designed and made a pendant with one
stone and instructed Kirsten Gum , the host, how to make and assemble her own
pendant with the other.

Kirsten was a very quick study and displayed a natural talent for the work. CR
Smith, owner of the Prospectors Pouch and a gemologist, then appraised the
finished pendant. This episode first aired on April 16th of 2008.  For more
information on this show, follow this link.
